“Spring into Summer” is an exhibit of strictly watercolors depicting scenes showing our change of seasons of Spring into Summer by the Lakes Region Watercolor Guild members.

The Guild’s purpose is to enhance, enrich, and further work in watercolor, to promote a better understanding of creative art, and to make art available in the community. Formed in 1985 with an initial core of seven members, the group has grown to 120. Members are primarily from Lake and McHenry County, Illinois, and Southern Wisconsin.  LRWG’s focus is on education with demos and workshops by local and nationally known artists. We welcome new members and urge anyone interested in watercolor, whether as a painter or simply an art lover, to attend our meetings The group has grown lasting friendships made through members’ exchange of ideas and knowledge of the wonderful world of watercolor.

Monthly meetings are in person and via Zoom, September through May at Chain of Lakes Community Bible Church, 43 W. Grass Lake Road, Lake Villa, IL on the second Thursday of the month from 9:30 am-noon. Membership is $25. Guests are always welcome for only $5/per meeting.
