I'll be demonstrating fun ways to use bleeding art tissue,  brusho watercolor powder, and Daniel Smith tube watercolor to create lush tropical leaves.  These methods are a great way to make large, dramatic, colorful compositions.  I'll show my work from the beginning,  middle, and end results.

I studied art at the University of Illinois.  After college, I worked for a large housewares company in Illinois in store merchandising and display.  After my children were grown I decided to go back to my roots in art.  I thought watercolor, for me, was the most challenging and unexplored medium.  I melded my love for gardening with the beauty of watercolors. In one of the classes I took, we experimented with monoprints and I was immediately hooked! I apply watercolor paint thickly to a piece of glass.  I thoroughly wet my 300lb paper and press the glass to the paper. Then the magic happens!

I've been exhibiting at art shows for about 10 years.  I concentrate on the Chicago area, but I also travel to out-of-state shows as well. I am now a full-time artist and love it!
